Hello All :)
When I saw the awesome Under The Sea Collection ,my joy knew no bounds and my mind started imagining different variations my creativity could play with. Here I landed up with an idea of fusing mixed media with the awesomeness of these gorgeous papers.
Instrctions:
To begin with I took a Stretched Canvas measuring 8"/10"/ 1"
I have used the Reverse side of the Canvas.
Primed it with Heavy Gesso to make a better base for different mediums to be applied over it and to cover the pins and stapled folds.
I cut a brown handmade paper and embossed it with Spellbinder's embossing bricks n Barks folder. I adhered it with Heavy Gesso on all the four sides of the canvas, leaving only the central part where Under the Sea Paper would be adhered.
Again I applied Heavy Gesso over the embossed handmade paper, this starts showing the texture of the bricks and barks with little browns peeping through it. With the palette knife I kept giving more textures on it.
Take Foam sheets and cut with Classic Leaf Dies,Birds and Blooms Dies,Leafy Branch Dies.
Adhere these foam cutouts with Gesso again and brush it up two three times with heavy Gesso, to make it ready to be colored.
Once Dried up properly, color it with Lindy's Sprays using the shades of Blues and Greens complimenting the color theme of the Under the Sea Paper Image.
Cut the paper image to fit the size of the inside of frame.
Prime it with Clear Gesso.Let dry.
Use Bubble Stencil to give texture using white Texture paste.
Spray some Lindy's blue green shades over it.
Adhere it within the inside of the canvas frame with Clear Gesso.
Use Gold and Sand Texture paste to give sandy effect at the base. Use the real shells, beads, glitter and other marine embellishments along with the stamped and diecuts from Tropical Hibiscus ' shells. Arrange them and start adhering using Texture Pastes,Glass Bead Glitter Gel,Gesso,White Glue,Glossy Accent etc.
Glue up two transparent acrylic fish embellies on the right bottom corner.
Using Ranger's Black Archival Ink stamp on the borders of the frame using Sunrise Lily Swirls Stamps.
Stamp the Enchanted Dragonflies and Tropical Hibiscus and Heat Emboss with the Princess Gold Embossing Powder. Colour with Lindy's Sprays and adhere on the left top corner of the frame.
Apply Clear Gesso on some parts of the frame and sprinkle red beads over it.
Use Glossy Accents in drops to create water bubble effect in some parts.
Frame it further or use it on an easel...this Heartfelt Creation is ready to be a piece of décor in your house or it could be a beautiful gift for someone special :)
