The world would be boring without you..

Hi all... what better way to gift someone a handmade diary where you can write about and treasure the beautiful moments captured in words.
Here i am sharing a an altered diary cover using handmade paper, stamps, dies ,laces, and other elements to give a vintage shabby spring feel to it.

Main Stamp is the beautiful Deep Red Love Bench Stamp and the bird die is Joycraft's Vintage Flourish's Bird die. For rest of the stamps i dont really remember the brand as i have many dies n stamps which are now without cover...so the brand name is difficult to remebr. If i come to know will post it too :)
After cutting the handmade paper to the size of the diary front cover,i colored and stamped it with distress inks using masking technique. Covered the edge with laces, paper, beads, pollens and flowers and die cut leaves using Spring Foliage Creative Expression Die. On top right i adhered the die cut birds.

I want to link this creation to the    http://mixedmediawarriors.blogspot.in/2017/03/wyzwanie-14-mmw-wiosenny-moodboard.html   http://mixedmediawarriors.blogspot.in/ spring moodboard challenge. Three elements that inspired me through this moodboard are the flowers, colors and the unseen half revealed face which i have tried to incorporate in my creation.
Hope u like it :)

Your love gives me wings..

Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come. Robert H. Schuller

Instructions :
Prime the reverse of the canvas with heavy gesso,it looks like a frame.
Use the stencils to give a desired effect of texture  that you like to see on your project.
I gave a little rough and leafy effect to match the stamped and diecut flowers.
On the watercolor paper I stamped the images with black archival ink using Scenic Combo Stamps with masking technique to make a complete scene using both the stamps in the set.
Masking Technique - First stamp one image, cover it with a same shape paper cutout, place over it and then stamp another image, remove the masking paper, get the image been seen in the background.
Color it with any brand of watercolor you already have.I used colorful bright colors depicting spring.
Now matching with the same colors used on the main image, color the gessoed canvas frame too.
Stamp with word background stamp and floral images using archival inks.

To make the flowers,on pink and sea green parchment paper first stamp the Flowring Dogwood floral images with ColorBox Frost White Pigment Ink, heat emboss it with Bridal Tinsel embossing powder.
Spray some water and shape and emboss them using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.
Use liquid pearl to form the centre of the flowers.
Arrange the layout and adhere the flowers with glue gun.
Apply some Multi Medium Matte on the base of the inner canvas frame and sprinkle some art stones.
Cut out the sentiments from design paper, layer it over pink paper and glue them up from two sides giving a curved 3d shape.

Stamp, cut, color the peacock and adhere it using double sided foam tape to give it a raised effect over the flowers.

The frame is ready to adorn your desired place :)
